Default This is DRIVING ME INSANE!

Hi,

This SHOULD calculate TAX in the UK for 2006 (see
http://www.tfpl.com/permanent_recrui...calculator.cfm
or
http://www.listentotaxman.com/index....bmit=Calculate)

I did....

Allowance 5035 10.00% 10.00%
Allowance plus threshold 7185 22.00% 12.00%
Upper limit 33300 40.00% 18.00%

=SUMPRODUCT(--(C31B1:B3),(C31-B1:B3),D1:D3)

Where C31 is the gross anual salary

But it doesn't work! PLEASE help! What am I doing wrong?

Thanks,

Rob

The upper limit of your table is incorrect: it should be 38335 as you haven't
allowed for the non-taxable allowance.

Allowance 5035 10.00% 10.00%
Allowance plus threshold 7185 22.00% 12.00%
Upper limit 38335 40.00% 18.00%
