Default How can I have data auto insert into another pg in workbook?

Is it possible to have one row of data automatically insert itself into
another worksheet (not necessarily into the same row) within a workbook? More
specifically I have a main sheet where users enter their data (some cells
using drop down menus) and several sheets - one for each item in the first
drop down menu. Depending on which choice they make from the drop down menu
in the first column of the row, I'd like the data to automatically be entered
into the corresponding sheet in the workbook. Basically, it's a way for the
user to have one location they need to enter information and the program
automatically puts it in the sheet it belongs (minimize user error upon
putting data in the wrong sheet).
