I need to make a cell once used automatically move a column over and up so I
can have lists side by side, how do I do that? for example A25 once filled
needs to make the selected cell be E9. HELP!

Lisa,

There is an inconsistency in what you are saying.

I need to make a cell once used automatically move a column over and up

does not agree with:
can have lists side by side, how do I do that? for example A25 once filled
needs to make the selected cell be E9. HELP!

Do you mean one column or four columns over?

If one column then highlight the area that you want the side by side lists
in - say A9:E25 then, having first made sure that the "Move after selection"
in Tools Options Edit is set to Down, simply enter the data and press
Enter. When the cursor comes to A25 it will automatically jump to B9 for
the next list.

When you type something in A25 and hit Enter you want the next active cell to
become E9.

Is that correct?

Or do you want the contents of A25 to move somewhere?

And where do the side by side lists come into the picture?

A little better description would help me decipher your question but maybe
others will be sharper and assist.
