Default Pivot tables - text rather than number?

Hi!

Not sure if this is possible using a pivot table, but...

I have a worksheet with the following information on it:
Customer Name - Business Sector - Account Manager

The worksheet is in alphabetical order by customer name.

What I would like to be able to do is to also have:
Business sector 1 - Business Sector 2 - Business Sector 3
Customer name 1 - Customer name 2 - Customer Name 3
Customer Name 4 - Customer name 5 - Customer Name 6

Unfortunately, when I pivot the data, I just get a count of the number
of customers, rather than their names.

Can I pivot text data, or does it have to be numerical only?

Thanks!
