Default How do I summarize time that exceeds 24 hours?

I am working on a diving log book and need to accumulate the total bottom
time. Example: Accumulated bottom time from earlier dives 95:16, Time of this
dive 00:40. Total acc time 95:56.

How do I fill in the time 95:16? What cell format do I use?
How do I summarize 95:16 with 00:40 and get 95:56? What function / cell
format?
