I am using Excel inventory. sometimes when I try to put a number in a slot
instead of the number such as 1 it puts 1-jan. no matter how I put the number in it keeps changing it to a calender date. |

Select the range of cells giving the problem and use Format | Cells |

Perhaps the cell has been pre-formatted as a date. Select the cell
again and click Format | Cells | Number (tab) and change the format to General, or Number with 0 decimal places. Hope this helps.
