Default Custom ribbons dissapear when saving?!?

Hi,

I've created a workbook in Excel 2010 in ".XLSm" format, with a builtin
custom ribbon with buttons calling macros in the workbook.

Everything works fine when opening, using and saving the workbook in XL2010.

But, when saving the workbook, after being opend and used in XL2003 the
ribbons gets removed - even that I just re-save in the ".XLSm" format?!?

Why?!?
How to avoid this???
