Default macro migration from XP to windows7

I'm using a macro to open thousands of .dat files and work on them under excel. My laptop crashed so I had to transition from XP and office 2003 to windows 7 and office 2007.
My macro is not working anymore.
I can send the piece of code which is out of order.

Either post it here, or upload it to a site like pastebin.com.

Not suprising.

Mickeysoft introduced a vast number of gratuitous incompatibilities and
removed certain file dialogue functions in the move to XL2007. It wasn't
remotely stable until SP 2 and still has some interesting quirks.

You could be out of luck entirely with thousands of files in XL2007. I
have seen leakage problems when a few hundred are processed that way.

If you value your sanity I recommend sticking with XL2003 for this.
