Default comment on "NEW" google group layout

Looks like Google Groups is going the "pretty is better" Microsoft
route; colors, fonts and less density. Too bad. I really don't like
these user groups that are icon based and formatted like they're going
to the Ball. Anyway... that's just me. (Long live simple text.
Long live the EYE) hahahahha.

I'm not sure if I like it completely, but I have noticed that spam seems to have been reduced with the transition to the new Google Groups. Perhaps they improved their spam filters as part of the change. If so, I am quite happy with the change.

As indicated in the header (if using a newsreader), I use a newsreader
named "mesnews" (as a result of trying various others) because I can't
stand using web-based alternatives. At least I can configure my
newsreader to work how I want to see posts/replies rather than how
GoogleGroups wants to display them. Alternative newsreaders can be
whatever comes with your email app (ie: Outlook Express, Mozilla
Thunderbird, etc...)!

If the pages load a bit faster that'd be a lot better actually.
But thanks Google.
