If your main problem is that you don't want to split the pos and neg
values manually -you want it to happen automatically - then you could
make two new series from your original one. *One of the new series is
zero when x is negative and p when x is positive. *The other is vice
versa. *Then make a stacked bar column chart with the two series. *The
two colours should appear auyomatically.

Thanks but that's what I was trying to avoid. I thought maybe there is
a feature with which I am not familiar that would allow me to chart
two different colors with one source.
