Default Command Buttons not responding

Maybe it's time to uninstall and reinstall excel?

But before you do that, try reregistering excel.

Close excel
Windows start button|run
excel /unregserver
(and hit enter)
Then
excel /regserver
(and hit enter)

Then test to see if that helped.

Hi Dave,

I have received same message "Microsoft Map is no longer supported with
Microsoft Office Excel" when I have tried add command button from Control
Toolbox in new blank workbook. I have Excel 2003, Service Pack 3.
I am not able to add anything from Control Toolbox to any workbook, new or
existing one.

I'm guessing that your workbook has nothing to do with MS Map.

I'd say that it may be time to rebuild that workbook.

Hi Dave,

I have tried to copy fresh workbook to another pc , it works.
When I have tried to add new command button from Control Toolbox next message
appeared (This happend on my PC):

"Microsoft Map is no longer supported with Microsoft Office Excel"

First, I don't have another guess.

But I bet you have multiple worksheets--not multiple windows.

If you bring a fresh/working copy of the workbook to the offending pc, does it
work?

Hi Dave,

as I have said nothing was chaged in last god run.
There is now multiple windows, and there is nothing in title bar. Also same
file works fine on my college computer without any problem.
All command buttons are in function. On my computer macro security is set to
LOW.

Have you any other ideas!
Best regards,
Naftas

It sounds like the commandbuttons are no longer commandbuttons.

Can you delete one, add a new one in its place (rename it to match the old name)
and see if that helps.

And this probably isn't the problem--but I typed it first.

Do you have multiple windows into that workbook?

Look at the title bar.

Do you see something like:
myworkbookname.xls:1
or
myworkbookname.xls:2

if yes, try closing the windows (except the first).

Select one to close and hit ctrl-w

Then try clicking the button once more.

Everything works fine until now. When I have opend file my command buttons
have not responded on click. Also I can not see their Propertis when I am in
Designe mode. I can run their VB Code form VB editor with Step Into button.
Also command buttons from Forms toolbox work without any problem.
