Excel XP & Win XP
What has to be installed, if anything, to cause the following command to
speak "Hello"? Thanks for your time. Otto
Application.Speech.Speak "Hello"

A sound card. I was just playing with it today, the function will
fail if sound card drivers are not installed.
Other than that, you might also want to check your Control panel to
see if Speech is available, if not, it probably will not work.
