help on comparing datasheet with a master sheet
Hi there, I'm looking for assistance with having a column of one 'monthly
datasheet' compare/bump with a column of the 'master worksheet' within the same work book. For each match in data, delete the row from the datasheet leaving only the data that could not match with anything from the master sheet. I'm working with Column 'C' on the datasheet and Column 'A' on the mastersheet. thanks in advance for any support provided and let me know if i need to provide additional information. |

help on comparing datasheet with a master sheet
on the datasheet insert a column at D
use =MATCH(C1,mastersheet!A:A,False) in D1 and replicate down anything with a number matches, anything unmatched shows as #N/A put on anautofilter, set C for not equal to #N/A select every visible row & delete them. if you switch on the macro recorder while you do this, you can review the auto-excel-generated code and replicate it yourself...it should be fairly trivial if you're still stuck .... or if you succeed, please let us know "Versace77" wrote in message ... Patrick, thank you very much for the quick reply. This worked out perfectly.
Didn't realize it could be done with a function that easily. Thanks again.
