=2^3 = 2*2*2 = 8 In the same vein, it can find a root. E.g, =8^(1/3) = 2 Cordially, Chip Pearson Microsoft Most Valuable Professional Excel Product Group Pearson Software Consulting, LLC www.cpearson.com (email on web site) On Thu, 6 Nov 2008 06:27:01 -0800, compari76 wrote: What purpose does the ^ serve in a formula? |
