Excel 2007: Print Form Control on a full page graph
Hello;
I hope I'm posting this question in the right forum. I have a spreadsheet that I've been using for many years for my physics labs for a projectile motion experiment. Sudents input data on the first sheet, then click a form button which switches to the second sheet, containing a full size graph of the projectile trajectory. On top of the graph I have a List Box form control which contains the important data the students input on the first sheet. That way, they can look at a full screen graph (which prints much nicer than a windowed graph), and check that they entered their data correctly. When we were using Excel 2003 under Windows XP, this list box would print when the graph was printed. Now that we've switched to Vista and Excel 2007, the list box works properly, but does not print. I've right-clicked on the list box, looked in the "format control" menu, then on the "Properties" tab and put a check next to "Print Object", to no avail. The same control prints fine when it is on a regular data sheet; none of the form controls I add print when on a sheet containing a full size graph. I've tried this on multiple computers, and with different laser and inkjet printers. The form controls don't even show up in Print Preview. Is this just a bug in Excel 2007, or is anyone aware of a workaround? Thanks. -Jeff |

Excel 2007: Print Form Control on a full page graph
Hi,
I can duplicate your problem, it may be a bug, I will submit it to Microsoft. There is a workaround. If you are on the sheet where the chart is but don't select the chart the buttons print. To only print the chart highlight the range directly behind the chart, easiest way is with the keyboard, then set that range as the Print Area. Now try printing the range that includes the chart without clicking on the chart. -- Thanks, Shane Devenshire "Jeff" wrote: Hello; I hope I'm posting this question in the right forum. Thanks, Shane. At least I know it's not me. I hope an update fixes this problem
