Default Excel shape changes in printing

Hello,

I am writing an Excel add-in. I noticed that if I add a shape on the Excel
and set the shape size as 2x2 inches, when I print the spreadsheet into a PDF
file, the shape size changes. I assume this is related to the printer font
size and resolution.

Can somebody tell me why the shape size changes? How to calculate the final
size? Is there a way to prevent the size from changing?
