Pivot Table, Subtotal, CalculatedItem
I have a pivot table, with a calculated item. When i try and subtotal on the
field which includes the calculated item i receive the following error "Unable to set the Subtotals property of the PivotField class". If i don't create the calculated item if works fine. What have i missed? |

If there are calculated items in the pivot table, the subtotals can only
be the Automatic function. They can't be changed to a different function. Lackawanna52 wrote: I have a pivot table, with a calculated item. Debra, so if i need to sum the items, both calculated items and "regular"
items, i need to write some VB code - correct? "Debra Dalgleish" wrote: If there are calculated items in the pivot table, the subtotals can only be the Automatic function. Sum is the Automatic function in most cases, so you wouldn't need code
to display that. The only thing that code could do would be turn the subtotals on or off.
