Default NAME# Error in 2003 excel.....PLZ ADVICE..............

trying to open an excel sheet with a datasource pointed towards an addin
called datadirect.xla......everytime i open the excel sheet

1.) i get the warning message to update the links
2.) i see NAME# in the cells with formulas....
3.) activex warning message : this application is about to intialise
active x controls

I am trying to schedule this to run a report everyday and i am just not able
to crack this....i tried recording macros but the macros are not firing.....
PLZ ADVICE
