Default Should I use Excel or the OWC11.spreadsheet control in a web page?

I hope someone may have good answers for the following questions and that
this would be the correct forum for this subject:

I would like to display some data in a web page using Excel. So my questions
a

1) Should I use full blown Excel and embed the App or would it be better
(i.e. more generic) to use the OWC11.Spreadsheet control? Which would be
compatible with more systems?

2) If I use Excel on a web page, must everyone who opens the web page have
Excel on their box?

3) Any chance anyone know of a web site where this is currently being done?
I'd like to have a look...

Thanks much in advance for your assistance.
