=MOD(SUBTOTAL(3,$A1:$A$2),2)=0

Will survive filtering while the =MOD(ROW(),2) will not.

4. In the Format values where this formula is true box enter the same
formulas as above
5. Click the Format button and on the Font tab choose Bold (or whatever)
