Default I need to help with Excel (beginner) -- year row and month column

Hello all,

I would like to know how to do the following ( I am newbie to
Excel :) )

I have this

2004-11-30 10
2004-12-31 7
2005-01-31 5
2005-02-28 20
2005-03-31 19
2005-04-30 17
2005-05-31 16
2005-06-30 15
2005-07-31 18
2005-08-31 8
