Some of team have developed a series of complex interlinked workbooks which
operate correctly however have a few performance related glitches which we are trying to iron out: - Upon opening the workbook the following error messages pop-up 1. Update links to other data sources 2. Excel cannot complete the task with available resources. Choose less data or close other applications 3. This workbook contains one or more links that cannot be updated - My questions are as follows: 1. The first popup is OK 2. How much memory and other specs does excel require to open a 9mb file which is linked to a 90mb file? 3. When the macros run the links perform perfectly well - how come the links error popups up upon opening the file 4. If these problems cannot be resolved is there a way to hide these popups at opening of the files? |
