Default Programmed error messages

I'm using a worksheet that doesn't allow me to enter a formula into a cell. I
get an error message saying I need to enter a number. Is there some way to
end this restriction? The worksheet & cell aren't locked.

Thanks for your help.

Hi Lee
Check for VBA code in the worksheet:
Right-click on sheet tab View Code
Delete any line of code found on the right-hand window

HTH
Cordially
Pascal

There could also be a validation setting on the cell.

Check under Data - Validation
