Default If then statement

Work sheet 1 is an overtime sheet for a dept. I have a cell with employees
names in it and next to that is the hours working. On sheet two I want to add
all (if more then one shift) hours for each individual employee for the
entire weekend.
Sheet 1
6am-12.00pm 8 bill
0.00-8.00am 8 Nancy I want to add mark hours on
0.00-8.00am 5 mark sheet 2

8.00am-4.00pm 7 Doug mark 13
8.00am-4.00pm 8 mark Nancy 8
8.00am-4.00pm 5 Tim Tim 5

Bill 8

Doug 7
Can you give me a formula please!
