Default Text File Import - File Origin

I'm importing several text files that contain both scalars and rows. The rows
are actually columns of numbers. They end up laid out in the row using the
"," in parsing the text file.

My question is about the "File Origin" field. Why does it come up as #936
"Chinese Simplified". I've been changing it to 20127 "US-ASCII".

Does it matter what is in the "File Origin". If it does, is there a better
choice than the 20127?
