Default What happen when a row is hidden?

If you hide the row via data|filter|autofilter, take a look at =subtotal().

If you're running xl2003+ (IIRC), you can use =subtotal() for rows that are
hidden manually, too.

Look for the
=subtotal(1xx,...
instructions
