i'm trying to show "0" in a cell with successor as any other number.

i don want to convert the cell as text, or to add a hyphen before 0,

Default Display 0 in the cells...

how many digits in the numbers you want to precede with a zero?

go to format cells, choose custom, enter 0### if you want up to 3 digit numbers
to be preceded by a zero
