so Hi All
Is it possible to have pivottable which has a Grand Total column and in the column to the right have the same numbers shown as percentages. All in one pivottable. So in effect there are 2 Grand Total Columns, 1 with numbers and the other with percentages. I can only do currently using a 2nd pivottable. If its possible then how? TIA johnb |

No support for it as a built in part of a pivot table.

Hi Tom
Thank you for the prompt response. Having 2 pt's side by side is a pain but who said keeping the user happy was barrel of fun anyway regards johnb "Tom Ogilvy" wrote: No support for it as a built in part of a pivot table. -- Regards, Tom Ogilvy "johnb" wrote: so Hi All Is it possible to have pivottable which has a Grand Total column and in the column to the right have the same numbers shown as percentages. You can do this within a pivot as follows: dbl click on your data item in
wizard to see the pivot field popup screen then in the "show data as" drop down select "% of total", click ok all the way out and your % of total colum will be in your pivot table. Hope this helps. Hi KD
Thank you for your comments but Toms right. what I have is 12 sets of monthly numbers with a grand total. What the user wants to see is Jan to Dec + Grand Total in numbers + a col to right of Grand Totals in % of the Grand Total col only. using 2 PTs is easy. But when the user srinks the main PT to say 4 months the % PT does not follow suit and its look a mess. Cheers Guys "KD" wrote: You can do this within a pivot as follows: dbl click on your data item in wizard to see the pivot field popup screen then in the "show data as" drop down select "% of total", click ok all the way out and your % of total colum will be in your pivot table.
