Default Excel 2007 - Losing VBA in Compatibility Mode

Hi,

When I save an existing 97-2003 file format Excel template that contains VBA
using Excel 2007 I get a save prompt and all the VBA is stripped from the
template. Is this a bug or by design?

Thanks in advance.

If you save the file as xlsx(new 2007 format without macros) all you code is gone.

Save as xlsm instead
