Default disable a macro

Can I disable a macro before saving a workbook? IF so, will it make
the book smaller?
Is there any way to make the file smaller/compress it from WITHIN
excel? The person asling will never follow zip before attaching.

If the issue is file size then disabling or removing the macros will not
significantly reduce the file size. While there are things you can do to
reduce file size there is not too much you can do to compress the file. You
can look at thes link to reset the used rage which is the normal culpret when
it comes to bloated file sizes...
