Default How do I remove the red corner in excel comment and keep comment?

It would be useful not to have the red corner in my diagrams yet do a mouse
roll-over comment to display an image. Everything works great... but those
red corners look bad.

Tools - Options... - View: Select None in the comments section.

That will eliminate the comments appearing on roll-over, too, which the
OP didn't want.

I don't think there's any way to do both with just the comment functions.
