Is there a way to tie a hyperlink that exists on a Powerpoint that,
when triggered, opens an excel worksheet that's stored within an excel
workbook? Thanks you.

I didn't test this in PPT, but it worked for me in MSWord:

Insert|Hyperlink:
c:\my documents\excel\book1.xls#sheet1!a1
