I would appreciate any help regarding the issue described below.

I experienced the following when I tried to update the file name (file
is opened on the network) based on a cell value, say "A1", during the
save event:

- if "A1" change then the file save works properly and file name gets
updated

- if "A1" does not change then excel crash

I also noticed that above happens when the Total characters in file
name (including path) 149. Excel doesn't crash when the characters
in file name =149 or <149

Has anybody experienced this behavior in excel 97 SR2?
