Default LINK ONE CELL TO AN ENTIRE LIST

In one cell for a worksheet, I would like to pick from an entire "list of
codes" in another worksheet and have that tied into a separate price for each
code.
(Trying to put togehter a Summary Sheet)

Can this be accomplished?

1-Name the range that you want as the drop down list.
2-Then use data validation to create an in-cell drop down list (Data
Validation)
