Default Sharing a workbook

Hello,

I was wondering if this would be possible -

I create a spreadsheet with lets say, all the job numbers in column A
and then all the prices in column B.

Then I make a userform to effectively enter data into these two lists.

I share the workbook and then open the form which selects cell A1 and
loads the job number and price into the userform.

I pop for my lunch and my colleague opens the spreadsheet on his PC. He
tries to edit job in A1 but a pop up message reveals that I currently
have that cell loaded for editing and greys out the boxes.

It is this vital pop up box I am looking for.

Can anyone help?

Thanks

John
