![]() First, I need to know if you can set a conditionnal formatting based o the data in a cell other than the cell you are formatting. I have two columns: one is, for instance, indicating the type of dat (Req, Info or Guide). I wish for the cell right to it, in the nex column, be formatted accordingly. (Patterns if the cell on the left i blank or "Info", and a validation arrow if the cell on the left i "Req" or "Guide"). I also wish for the cell to be red if "no" is selected for this sam validation arrow. (If I can apply the precedeeg settings, I guess thi one is just plain simple conditional formatting...) Please help me: my project is on hold until I find the most practica way to apply those settings automatically (It needs to be applied t any added row or data without additional formatting) -- Turquoise_da ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Turquoise_dax's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...fo&userid=3518 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread.php?threadid=55457 |
