Default Conditional formatting: NEED ANSWERS FAST!!!

I know this works, but I need to make it general (say, with an "update"
button and a macro...) because if I do it like this, an a row is added,
the cells all need to be individually set with the "conditionnal
formatting" tool....

I was thinking of a macro like this, with if:

Dim cell As Range
For Each cell In Range("B:B")
If cell = "Info" Then *ActiveCell.Offset(0, 1).Fill.Patterned
msoPattern50Percent* (Need to correct: not working...)
If cell = "Req" Then ActiveCell.Offset(0, 1).*(Just how the hell so I
say I want a validation arrow with the needed list?)*
Next

or something like that.... but my syntax is not right....need help!
