protected sheet does not allow me to change info on cells that do not have
formula and which should allow me to input info that is used by other formula cells. PROTECTING SHEET BLOCKS THE OPEN CELLS AND IT SHOULD NOT. UNPROTECTED WORKSHEET RISK ERASING FORMULAS WHEN INPUT IS MADE. I CAN ALSO BLOCK THE NAME TITLES THAT I WANT TO PRESERVE IN CELLS. FINALLY, THE OPTION FOR THIS SHOULD BE IN THE TOOLS, OPTION AS: PROTECT LOCKED FORMULAS, ALLOW CHANGE IN UNLOCKED CELLS. WHEN I WANT TO CHANGE FORMULA, EITHER MAKE IT AN OPTION TO ALLOW FORMULA CHANGES TO LOCK CELLS OR NOT, OR AT LEAST A WARNING MESSAGE. ANOTHER OPTION IS TO CHOOSE COLOR SELECTION BACKGROUND TO VIEW ALL LOCKED OR UNLOCKED CELLS BY COLOR DIFFERENTIAL WHEN DESIRED. ---------------- This post is a suggestion for Microsoft, and Microsoft responds to the suggestions with the most votes.
