Default running an XLS Macro from within an XLS attached as Object

Hello,

I have attached an XLS as object in a Notes DB.

When trying to run a macro after opening that XLS via OLE, it abends with an
error message indicating the "filename.XLS" cannot be found.

Yet, I just created (even recorded; this is a very simple macro to automate
sorting on various columns) this macro with the XLS opened as object. I am
not using the filename in my macro neither.

What's going wrong here or - even more important - how can I fix this ?
