Default does the calendar control differ for the US?

I'm currently transferring a project to my US office, and I have some
concerns over the calendar I am using. The reference is known as 'calendar
control 10', and currently it doesn't work in line with the system setting
i.e I have changed my system setting to U.S but for some reason the calendar
displays 3/2/2006 as 3 Feb 2006, yet displays 3/30/2006 as 30 March 2006
(correct).

Firstly can this is be fixed? It it can't, I can alter the date manually but
if I do this, when the spreadsheet is transferred over, how will the calender
control behave in the US version of Excel?

Any help appreciated
