![]() Kind AVVEERKAR, I thank you most warmly for your help on creating a ComboBox. You instructions work right. But this is all new to me and I lack th basics, namely: ------------------------------------ 1.- My main macro, so far, is: Sub Search () UserForm1.Show End Sub And the box appears and the items get selected on the window at the to of the box all right. But then, what? HOW DO I CAPTURE the on selected? How do I MAKE IT INTO A VARIABLE so that I can add a line instructin my macro to paste that chain onto a cell or otherwise make use of it? ------------------------------------ 2.- And then this: Now the items in the ComboBox appear only if th user enters characters that form THE BEGINNING of an item. However, often the user will only know that there must be items whic contain a certain sequence of characters, but NOT NECESSARILY AT TH BEGINNING. Is there a way to make them appear if the chain entered is NOT TH BEGINNING of the item? If you are so patient and understanding as to answer my first quer I’ll be very, very thankful. And if you are so knowledgeable as to solve also the second, then I’l add a great admiration.
