FollowHyperlink failing

I have a situation where ThisWorkbook.FollowHyperlInk is failing

Run-time error '-2146697208 (800c0008)'
Method 'FollowHyperlInk' of object '_Workbook' failed

I can't find any useful information concerning the error code = any
suggestions?
