hi guys,
I have problem with inserting & updating row in excel... for example I have 5 columns in first row and 100 rows , using HDR=yes will have data table which column name appears as expected. the problem arise when you have empty value cell in one of the row, immediately after you do insert or update, the cell that empty value was replace by the cell in the right of it, and starting this row all rows had messed up ... and also if you open the connection, message will appear that "the external table not in the expected format", instead of it you will have a message if you open the file by excel, that Data loss .., but you can see the result how is messed ... I've tried using oledbadapter and also single command exceutenonquery .. is always happen like that, funny things is if cells empty was fill by space using spacebar ..u will have your table alright after you insert & update .... have you guys any experience on it...which caused the problem ? I thought that jet provider was the problem I've tried using ADO and ADO.NET via vb.net, still always the same ... regards |
