I wish I could float the mouse pointer on a graphic image and get some text
information, the same way that I can with a toolbar button.

Any way to do this?

Right click on the image, Create Hyperlink
and assign a hyperlink such as to A1 on the current sheet, but don't
forget to assign the Screen Tip.
