Default add a formula to one cell by entering text in another cell.

Example: Cell G1 contains Y or N. When the value is Y, A2 is made blank. If
value is N, A2 has an IF formula added. It is done as soon as the enter key
is pressed or the arrow keys are used to move to another cell. It appears to
be a hidden script, but I can't find it anywhere. If someone knows how this
works, that may be able to help me locate it.

See if it is event code. On that sheet, right-click the sheet tab, select
View Code from the menu, and check if there is anything in the pop-up code
window.
