Default Locate Excel files by searching for key words?

I am using Office 2003 on Windows XP.

1) Is it possible to MANUALLY search closed Excel files for key words, from
inside Excel or from Windows Explorer to identify or pinpoint certain files?
[perhaps by entering data in "Keywords" on the "Summary" tab of
<File<Properties?]

2) Is it possible to do #1 (above) programmatically? If so, could someone
please post example code?

Thanks much in advance for your assistance.
