Default Microsoft Spreadsheet Control?

Hello All,

I am building a Windows application and I am considering using the Microsoft
Spreadsheet Control. The application will be written in C#.

The above said, I was wondering if users will need MS Excel installed on
their machines in order for the control to work?

I have included the 2 web-related newsgroups as I know the control is often
used in web applications.

Regards,

Todd

I believe the licensing agreement for the Office Web Controls requires
office to be installed on each client machine.

You only need the user to have the OWC controls. That said, you may want to
read up on interactive licensing depending on the feature set you intend to
expose to the user.
