Default Unhelpful error message!

Can anyone shed any light on this please: I have a sub that converts a series
of text entries to numbers and copies them to another sheet. It works fine
if it sits as a macro in Personal.xls, but when I moved it to a module in a
working spreadsheet I got a wierd error message - a text box with a red cross
and the figure 400 but nothing else!

Hitting the help button brings up an empty window.

Does it mean anything to anyone please?

Thanks
SJB

Try closing excel and reopening it. this might clear up the problem. I
believe this is just an intermittent bug in Excel, so the actions I
described might help.

Hello Tom

Thanks for responding so quickly - unfortunately this didn't clear the
problem.

Best wishes
Sue
