Default Advanced filter in VBA - criteria in non-adjacent ranges

Hi,
Can this be done?
I need to be able to submit filter criteria from 2 simple ranges (say 3
by 3 each) but they sit in different locations (on the same sheet though). I
suppose, I could temporarily merge them in some hideaway prior to use but
I'm trying to avoid it.

TIA
Paul

since part of the interpretation of the filter has to do with row and column
orientation, I think you would need to merge them.
