![]() I am working on a project that requires that 2 people to make entries on the same workbook; this is the shared property that I can and do set manually. The workbook is a time sequential dispatch log for taxis, fire and security personnel, general pagers and engineering/wrecker. After it is used for 24 hours we close the log and never write to it again, it is just as the name implies, a log for the day of ???. Since it is going into permanent storage, it doesn't need to keep any unused entry lines (already handled), macros (already handled) , etc. I want to turn off the shared workbook property, clean up the workbook to reduce storage space usage, and set it to read only (all using vba) before closing the workbook probably for ever, as it is quite doubtful that it will be needed again. It is more for the lawyers in case something happens and we get sued by a guest or employee. We have paper logs going back decades, and in one form or another we will be keeping a log for decades to come. My project has moved light years because of this forum, your help has been invaluable, and from the bottom of my heart I thank you for any and all help you would choose to give.
